Layers now uses the raw file(s) for doing the images in each layer. If they've fixed that then this will be a brilliant option for RAW processing and cataloguing. ON1 Photo RAW user reviews from verified software and service customers. A couple of items that caught my eye: Layers is now integrated.no longer a separate module that has to render images for the layers. The speed of the program looks good, but then like some others here I've had Photo 10.5 hang from time to time. ON1 Photo Raw 2017, the standalone non-destructive raw processor and image editor cum mega plug-in suite for your favourite image editor, has been updated to version 2017.0.2 with improvements for Fujifilm camera users, raw file support for a range of new cameras as well as performance updates and bug fixes. And being new I'm hoping they've been listening to those of us asking for Pixel Shift processing to give us an option that works better than Lightroom and won't require the generation of a TIFF or Jpeg like DCU. Over that time I've seen them improve a lot and think the new program is worth considering for anyone looking to update their software or looking for an alternative.
